The fiercer the competition between ecommerce websites is becoming, the better are becoming their services. 2-day delivery, next-day delivery, same-day delivery, now what? Same day return pickup? Even better, a 90-minute return pickup.

Yes, leading Indian online shopping site Snapdeal, in association with its logistics partner GoJavas, has made a 90-minute return pickup service live in 15 Indian cities on Thursday June 4, 2015.

During the announcement, Snapdeal’s vice president of operations Ashish Chitravanshi said, “Snapdeal and GoJavas have been working together to augment the logistics ecosystem in the country by bringing innovative customer-focused solutions. The 90-minute reverse pick-up facility is a continuing collaborative effort to design insightful logistics solutions that strengthen our supply chain infrastructure.” He also announced that the company is planning to launch this service in all 300 cities it operates within next 3 to 5 months.

This initiative by Snapdeal is seen as an effort to make people shop online who feel reluctant towards it because of the concerns of wrong item delivery. Other than that, it will certainly help the company in strengthening its hold in the Indian ecommerce market, which is estimated to reach the bar of $6 billion this year.
